Digital Resources

Voces Vivas
Visitors to both LA Plaza and its website will have the opportunity to experience Voces Vivas, an original short-film series featuring interviews with a broad spectrum of Mexican Americans. These films will expand on the LA Plaza experience, personalizing Mexican American history through the individual stories of the interview subjects and bringing to light a rich and sometimes controversial history.  To view these stories, please visit the Voces Vivas page.

Centro Yo Soy

Open by appointment, LA Plaza’s community history center invites visitors to record their own cultural experiences and personal histories. To make an appointment, please inquire at the Admissions Desk.

Digital Library

In its inaugural year, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes will lay the foundation for developing a digital library. The goal of LA Plaza’s digital library is to offer educators and the public easy access to data at other cultural centers, libraries, and universities, with a focus on information about Mexicans and Mexican Americans. This digital repository and data-sharing library will allow visitors to cross-search and discover global digital information. It will also enable educators and the public to identify and access primary resource documents that could assist them with research, teaching, and learning.  For more information please contact education@lapca.org.
