LA Plaza’s Delicious Taquito Wrap!

The summer has come to an end, and school is back in full gear. After a long day of classes, some students tend to snack on unhealthy foods or sugary beverages as soon as they get home. So why not provide children with a simple recipe that can easily be made using healthy vegetables.

LA Plaza’s Healthy Taquito Wrap can be prepared in the kitchen by an individual or together as a family. The recipe allows children to explore tasty vegetables, practice simple kitchen techniques, and perform easy measurements.

Begin with a piece of Romaine lettuce. Add beans to the center of the leaf; add chopped cucumbers, shredded carrots, and chopped cilantro. Add one tablespoon of LA Plaza’s Zesty Nectar Dressing or one tablespoon of your favorite dressing. You can also add other delightful ingredients such as avocado, sweet yellow corn, and chile. What other healthy ingredients would you add to your healthy taquito wrap?

Remember to practice kitchen safety at all times.

¡Buen Provecho!
