Contain Yourself!

Here at LA Plaza’s Edible Teaching Garden, we are constantly on the lookout for creative and sustainable pots for our plants. We rarely buy new pots. Instead, the focus is on reuse, reuse, and reuse of various containers. Why? It makes economic and environmental sense. Instead of throwing your water bottle into the recycling bin, put it to another use before recycling it. This is how much of the world currently lives. Almost anything can become a pot for a plant as long as it has drainage holes on the bottom.

The Edible Teaching Garden at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is supported by The PepsiCo Foundation.
