¡La Naranja Fresca!

Delicious, sweet, tangy, and healthy!! What more can you ask from a fruit like the orange?

Young visitors made their own delicious, bubbly, and thirst-quenching orange drink in LA Plaza’s FREE Culinary Art Workshop. Children also learned about the garden cycle by composting their scraps from the culinary workshop in the Edible Teaching Garden. With the help of volunteers, students also designed their own orange and fruit crates while learning about the importance of agriculture in Los Angeles and California.

Thank you to Randy Rodarte for bringing together an amazing group of student talent to rock the house at LA Plaza. Visitors enjoyed dynamic music from Pio Pico Middle School Stage Band, The Friendly Strangers & The Kidneys, and Fascination Street.

Orange-u excited to make it out to our next FREE family day event? Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to get the latest updates on LA Plaza’s upcoming events and programs.
