Student Fieldtrips at LA Plaza!

Since the launch of LA Plaza’s Edible Teaching Garden and Culinary Arts program, funded by The PepsiCo Foundation, thousands of students have participated in hands-on workshops.

School groups have the unique opportunity to learn garden and culinary basics, such as the parts of a plant, how to compost at home, and how to help plants conserve moisture—as well as, how to make healthy and nutritious food at home, including fruit snacks, tostadas, and pico de gallo salsa.

There is always something new growing in our garden and something healthy to create in our culinary workshops!

We love hearing from our students as they reflect on their experiences at LA Plaza. See what they had to share!
