A community workshop where participants will assist in handwriting individual toe tags that represent migrants who have died trying to cross the Sonoran Desert of Arizona from the mid-1990s to the present. Presented in conjunction with LA Plaza’s exhibition Hostile Terrain ’94: The Undocumented Migration Project. Special guest speaker, Co-Curator, Jason de Leon, Professor of Anthropology and Chicana, Chicano, and Central American Studies and Executive Director of the Undocumented Migration Project and Colibri Center for Human Rights.
