Mexico Resistance with Antonio Turok, Documentary Photographer

For more than three decades, internationally acclaimed documentary photographer Antonio Turok has traveled through his native Mexico and Central America, capturing images that speak of the human condition. Though documentary in nature, the soft, black-and-white photographs Turok creates seem otherworldly, like ghostly reminders of another place or time. In this En Casa session, Turok give a presentation based on his brilliant black-and-white photographs taken of the indigenous people of Chiapas and Oaxaca during the past several decades. Co-organized by Álvaro Huerta, Ph.D., and Marietta Bernstorff.
