Negritude Festival is a six-hour celebration of Afro-diasporic culture, centering queer and femme voices through music, art, food, and community. Inspired by the Negritude movement, this gathering honors the beauty and brilliance of Black identity while fostering deeper connections across Los Angeles. Enjoy live performances, art & installations, black-owned marketplace, community conversations and workshops, and food and drinks available for sale.

Christopher Eclipse is a multidisciplinary performance artist, choreographer, and cultural connector based in Los Angeles. Eclipse uses art, movement, and fashion to inspire connections, celebrate identity, and uplift Black and Brown voices worldwide.
Xoe Sazzle
Xoë Sazzle (she/her) is an artist, activist, media maven and Caribbean queen from the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. She brings a film and entertainment background to her current spheres of focus as a communications specialist for organizations in the local TNGC community in LA.

DJ Merc80 (murk-eighty) was born in Oakland, CA, and raised with all kinds of sounds from Oldies, Hip Hop, R&B, and various other styles of music. From exposure to music of all kinds as a child to turning the dial on the radio, Merc80 makes sure to have a conversation with the room when he plays.

The Plant Plug
The Plant Plug is an educational based agricultural business that teaches many aspects of sustainable agriculture as we connect our community to sustainable food systems. This workshop will be centered on planting, cultivating and growing staple produce from the African Diaspora.
Skira Martinez
Interdisciplinary artist and founder of Cielo Galleries/Studios curating programming centered around art, education and social justice. This workshop will take the form of an “Art Buffet” with Skira guiding participants through crafting their own unique creation from the available materials.

Fan Girl Central
Fangirl Central is a media company co-founded by writers, filmmakers, and sister comedy duo Amanda & Amber Miller. Their short film THE DAY I DIDN’T MEET ONE DIRECTION (2022) was the genesis of the company, which they created to center Black & queer passion and fandom. They now host events like coworking, karaoke, and watch parties with the dedicated purpose of bringing together passionate communities of marginalized and underrepresented fans and artists.
Book Club for Sissies
Book Club for Sissies is an intimate literary gathering based in Los Angeles, created as a sanctuary for queer, Black, and Brown readers to connect, reflect, and reclaim space through storytelling.
