Aurora Pedro, coordinator of the Indigenous Interpreters program at CIELO, is a queer Akateko and Q’anjob’al born and raised in Los Angeles. With a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, Aurora is an advocate for language rights and the creation of accessible resources and spaces for all indigenous people.
