This will be a one-of-a-kind conversation that promises to shed light on the often-overlooked issue of colorism and its impact on individuals within the Latinx community. Our esteemed panelists, the hosts of the Three Brown Jotos Podcast and either Dr. Anita Tijerina Revilla or Dr. Eduardo Lara, both of whom have extensive experience teaching at the college level, will delve into the complexities of colorism and its effect on the LGBTQ+ Latinx community. The discussion will explore the historical, cultural, and social origins of colorism and its impact on the Queer Latinx community, as well as the ways in which it intersects with issues of race, gender, and sexuality.
