Join us in this roundtable as we discuss Margaret’s work and how they connect to the history of Los Angeles. Historical consciousness, struggles, and inequality of Chicanos and minorities provides guests today a platform for our voices to be heard and create allies within our communities and unite us. Discussions will include issues of history, memory, politics, and identity. Guest speakers include, artist Margaret Garcia, curator Ana Bermudez, writer and artist Jimmy Centeno, author and professor Emeritus and former Dean of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State, Tomas Almaguer, and moderator, Director of Exhibitions and Senior Curator, Karen Crews.
