Sabor a Churros with Chocolate Sauce

In this family cooking class, students and parents will learn how to make churros with an accompanied chocolate dipping sauce.

The origin of churros is unique, yet uncertain. A theory suggests that churros were brought to Europe from China by the Portuguese. The Portuguese sailed for East Asia and as they returned from Ming-Dynasty China to Portugal, they brought along with them new culinary techniques, including a dough that closely resembles churro dough. The new pastry was soon introduced to Spain, and was later transported to Mexico.

Let’s combine Old and New World ingredients like chocolate, to create a unique treat.

Please note that this class is open for parent(s) and children between the ages of 12-17.

NOTE: An adult must accompany any child who wishes to attend this event. A child between the ages of 12-17 CANNOT attend this event without being accompanied by an adult.
