Education Coordinator
Remuneration: Hourly rate, commensurate with experience
Status: Non-Exempt, F/T with benefits

Reports to: Senior Curator of Education
Description:
This position will provide support to the Education Department by coordinating school tour programs, the education programs, and other various administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the day-to-day operational needs of the Education Department are met
• Coordinate, manage and schedule LA Plaza’s school tour and education programs
• Maintain registration information, and bill payment system
• Perform research and identify leading instructors, LAUSD district leaders, and key teachers
• Maintain and research school outreach programs, including database maintenance
• Support Volunteer Coordinator
• Provide administrative support for:
o CEU's and point credit
o Docents program
o Teacher training program
o Teacher outreach
o Workshops
o After school programs
o Senior tour program
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree with an interest in Mexican and Mexican American history and Spanish language desired with experience in museums and cultural institutions. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be highly approachable.
