Opening Hours: Wednesday - Sunday, 12 - 5pm | Closed Monday & Tuesday

Activation Day | Free with RSVP

On select first Saturdays of each month, come to LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes for a guided tour as part of our Activation Days. Learn about Los Angeles history with LA Plaza’s Navegantes as we move through the galleries, answer questions, and invite you to share your story. After the tour, visit our patio to connect with community resources and take part in art workshops inspired by our temporary exhibitions.

On this occasion, a Navegante will lead a special tour of our core exhibition, L.A. Starts Here!

While you’re here, participate in the Liver Education Advocates for the Liver Strong Workshop, a great opportunity to learn more about health and wellness, fatty liver disease, and the importance of early detection. Topics include nutrition, lifestyle habits, and the link between fatty liver and type 2 Diabetes. This workshop is free and offered in English and Spanish.

Les Navegantes, LA Plaza docents, connect our visitors with the Latina/o experience and the stories of Los Angeles from the past, present, and future. Les Navegantes  leads tours of our core exhibition, L.A. Starts Here!, in English and Spanish, stimulating conversations that connect content to audiences of all backgrounds, ages, learning levels, and abilities.
