Enjoy an evening with Tropa Magica and Buyepongo, where we celebrate the sounds of East Los Angeles and Los Angeles with musical fusions; from guitar and rhythms of 60’s Peruvian Cumbias and 90’s grunge with a neo-southern psychedelic twist that transports the listener into a tropical psychedelic dance party. The night will feature the blending and bonding of influences, seamlessly blending hip-hop, punk, funk, and jazz into a deliriously infectious tropical mix that spans the rich tapestry of the Americas. In addition, LA JUNTA DJ’s will complement the event with tropical Afro-Latin music Colombia, Brazil, Central America while the seamless blending of rhythms.
Take advantage of extended museum hours and explore LA Plaza’s newest exhibition, A Great Day in East L.A.: Celebrando the Eastside Sound. The museum will be open from 12 to 8pm!
Bring your own chair and the whole family for an evening where everyone can join in interactive activities, shop merch and discs from local vendors, and soak up a magical night celebrating the Eastside sound! Food vendor: Savage Tacos.

To make your trip easier, we encourage guests to take Metro (Union Station) or carpool. If you’re driving, parking will be available at LA Plaza Village (Options C and E on the map) and at El Pueblo Lot 2 (Option D), accessible from Cesar Chavez St.
This concert is part of the public programming for LA Plaza’s temporary exhibition A Great Day in East L.A.: Celebrando the Eastside Sound—a multimedia exhibition that delves into the rich musical legacy of East Los Angeles, highlighting the eclectic sounds and cultural influences that shaped its unique artistic identity. The exhibition will be on display from June 28, 2025, through August 23, 2026.
