LA Plaza is open noon to 5 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and noon to 6 pm Friday through Sunday. 


We are closed Tuesdays and the following holidays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 16), President's Day (February 20), César Chávez Day (Mrch 31), Memorial Day (May 29); Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (Sept 4), Indigenous People's Day (October 9), Veterans Days (Nov 10), Thanksgiving Day and the  Day after Thanksgiving (Nov 23 and 24), Christmas Eve (December 24), Christmas Day (December 25), New Years Eve (December 31) and New Year's Day (January 1, 2018).


Please note: Last entry to the Museum is 4:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 5:30 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Visitor Guidelines 

• Please check-in large parcels/bags at the Admissions Desk.

• Food and beverages are not permitted in the galleries.

• Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

• Flash photography is not permitted in the galleries.

• Video recording & and tripods are not permitted in the galleries.

• Please check strollers at the Admissions Desk.

• When entering the galleries, please silence cell phones.

• Smoking is prohibited throughout the LA Plaza campus.

• Pets are not allowed on campus. The exception are service animals.

• LA Plaza is not responsible for loss of personal property.

• LA Plaza is not responsible for damage to personal property.

Directions by Public Transportation

LA Plaza sits within convenient walking distance to Union Station and a variety of public transportation options.

Driving Directions: We are freeway close, next to the 101 Freeway. We are located across from the Pico House which is at the southern end of Olvera Street in the El Pueblo district.

Ample parking is available in public lots in the surrounding area. Parking rates vary. LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes' parking lot is located at the lot located at Arcadia and Spring Streets (171 Arcadia Street, entrance on Arcadia). L.A. County Parking Lot 15 is located at 527 N. Spring Street at Cesar Chavez Boulevard, entrance on Spring). Main Street parking is strictly prohibited.
