On April 16, 2011, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes opened its doors with a bold vision: to center the history of Mexican and Mexican Americans in Los Angeles and to collect, preserve, and share the stories, accomplishments, and experiences of Latinx people and Latino culture. For over a decade, LA Plaza has been a vibrant gathering place where these stories are honored, voices are uplifted, and traditions are shared across generations.
Now, fifteen years later, we proudly look back on our journey and invite you—our community—to join the celebration of our Quinceañera.
This anniversary belongs to all of us.
It is a joyful milestone shaped by your voices, your stories, and your presence. Together, we honor 15 years of cultura, comunidad y corazón—a legacy of heritage, resilience, and connection that continues to inspire and unite us.
