Learn about food sovereignty, systems, and delicious eats that Los Angeles plants and trees offer us. Participants will make delicious finger foods during this workshop.
Meztli Projects will be leading this workshop. Meztli Projects is an indigenous based arts & culture group that addresses the severe lack of artistic opportunities for Native and Indigenous artists as well as systems impacted youth living and creating in Los Angeles County (Tovaangar).
This will be a day filled with art, community, and civic action! Besides participating in the Meztli Project Garden Class, shop from a talented Latinx artist at our very first Artist Mercado hosted by LA Tienda, and get access to essential resources and information to make sure your voice is heard in the upcoming electoral process, courtesy of Meruelo Media’s event, Tu Voz, Tu Voto, Tu Vida. Plus, enjoy performances, speakers, pop-up booths, and food trucks.

LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is a PST ART Community Hub
WHAT IS PST ART
PST ART is a groundbreaking cultural collaboration. Every five years, PST ART unites hundreds of artists around a single, electrifying theme at more than 60 exhibition spaces. While the theme is different each time, the heart of PST ART is always the distinctive cultural identity of Southern California, and the universal hunger for artistic and intellectual discovery. In a region famed for its films and theme parks, PST ART provides a different kind of gripping experience— and the most distinctively Southern Californian of all.
