Comunidad Unites: The Los Angeles Lowrider Alliance, the Fred Jordan Mission, and Mattel Inc. Food & Toy Drive | Free

This event is a call for our community to help the lives of those facing food insecurity. Bring new, unwrapped toys for local children this holiday season. Families will enjoy an afternoon with DJ TAZ, children’s folklorico Resurrection, Mariachi Conservatory, a dedicated performance by Lorenzo y sus Compadres, plus hands-on art workshops, a low-rider car show, and a Santa visit! This afternoon of hope and gratitude is presented by LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes in partnership with the Fred Jordan Mission, Los Angeles Lowrider Alliance and Mattel, Inc.

Mattel’s Employee Resource Group, Unidos en Mattel, will be onsite and will activate their Hot Wheels track with cars and a Barbie photo op! They will also be raffling a few Barbie Dia de los Muertos signature dolls and Hot Wheels Lowrider Collectors Cars, so check in at the Mattel station for your free raffle ticket (must be present to win). The Mattel Children’s Foundation, as part of their Play it Forward initiative, has also generously offered Hot Wheels Diecast and Barbie + Disney Princess dolls in limited quantities for children attending the event (one per children).

Fred Jordan Missions is a non-profit, faith-based educational and relief organization meeting the needs of hungry, homeless, and impoverished people, especially children and families in the Inner cities of America and around the world.

Los Angeles Lowrider Alliance mission is to honor, preserve, and celebrate the rich heritage of the Los Angeles lowrider culture. They are dedicated to advocating for social justice, driving economic change, and amplifying the legislative voice for their community.

Mattel, Inc. empowers generations to explore the wonder of childhood and reach their full potential.

Unidos en Mattel Employee Resource Group brings together Latinx/Hispanic diversity and talent to promote representation, celebrate culture, and advocate for inclusion at Mattel. We focus on the professional development and empowerment of our members and seek to inspire them to make a positive and meaningful impact at Mattel and in our communities.
