This special screening will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Lalo Guerrero: The Original Chicano. The film is an hour-long documentary that celebrates the life and career of Lalo Guerrero, while documenting the contemporary history of Mexican Americans through his music. Taped interviews with Linda Ronstadt, Paul Rodriguez, Edward James Olmos, Ry Cooder, UFW co-founder Dolores Huerta, Cheech Marin and others, will describe the influence and impact of Lalo’s music from a personal and professional point of view. Guest speakers Dan Guerrero, producer, and Nancy De los Santos, producer.

Join us for each installment, which includes a discussion with the filmmaker and other guest speakers connected to the film or topic. In addition, join a free tour at 6pm; each tour provided is themed around each film screening. All films are free and presented on Thursday nights unless otherwise noted.
