About the speakers:
Salvadores Mezcal is a family-owned brand rooted in the rich mezcal-making traditions of Tlacolula de Matamoros, Oaxaca, Mexico. The brand was officially established in 2020, although the family has been involved in mezcal production since the early 1900s. Salvadores Mezcal is known for its artisanal approach, using traditional methods to produce high-quality mezcal.
Salvador (aka Sal) Palacios is the founder of Salvadores Mezcal. He is dedicated to reviving and preserving his family’s mezcal-making heritage, which dates back to his great-grandfather and grandfather. Sal, along with his family, constructed the Casa Palacios Distillery in 2019 to continue this legacy. The Palacios family emphasizes sustainable and traditional production methods, ensuring that their mezcal reflects the authentic flavors and cultural heritage of Oaxaca.
